BetSid Sportsbook: Betting Options Overview8
To start out the review we will take an in-depth look at the BetSid sports offering. What kind of markets they offer and have they missed anything? Additionally, we will then look into what betting options there are, and if this is an easy process.
Introduction to the Sportsbook
Once you log onto the site, you see that there are many sports markets on offer, up to 24 in fact. What we were really happy with was that they really catered for the British market. This is understandable due to the fact they a local bookie, with knowledge of what the punters want. That’s why you can find horse racing, greyhounds, and online football betting as the best-covered sports. Not all of the tsites on our list of online bookies so we were very happy to find this on the sportsbook.

One thing we really liked about the sportsbook was the football highlights section at the top. Not only did they categorise the upcoming games, they also provided quick links to btts highlights, or over/under highlights, along with links to specific leagues or competition groupings. We really like this as it meant that clicking through to bets was quick, and if you were looking for inspiration it was provided for you! As BetSid has closed, if you want to bet on boxing, check out our guide to the best boxing betting sites.
One thing we would criticise is the lack of eSports or other niche events. However, due to them being a local operator this seems to be expected. Overall, everything that your British punter will want is covered, so you can’t scoff at that, can you?
In-Play Betting and Live Streaming
The BetSid betting site has a dedicated in-play section which is very handy if you want to see all the live events. Once you click on a game, at the top of the screen is a very handy infographic, which shows real-time what is happening in a game and the stats associated with it. What’s more, there are many betting markets available in-game, these constantly update depending on what is happening.
Disappointingly there is no live streaming available, this is something we feel as though could be adopted to in order to offer an overall better experience. Even so, in this day and age punters have come to expect a top live betting experience, and this operator does not fail to deliver. You can be assured all of your needs will be sufficed playing here.
Multiples Bets
At BetSid UK you won’t be disappointed by the types of bets you can place. They offer all of what you would normally expect, plus Trixie, Patent, Yankee, Heinz, Lucky 15, Goliath etc. We were very happy in this regard. We were let down by the fact you can only place 15 selections on your accumulator, however that is not a deal breaker.
Something we really like with this operator was all the football coupons offered, such as a btts coupon, or over/under one. We really like the 1×2 and btts combined coupon, that really can be a big winner if all your selections come in. You don’t see this offered everywhere, so we were heartily impressed and were very tempted to have a cheeky punt.
Bet & Win Limits
Something that you have to pay attention is an operator’s policy on bet and win limits. This is something that many punters forget about when placing a bet. Imagine thinking you’ve won massive sum, only for the bookmaker to turn around and say read the T and C’s. Luckily, our eagle-eyed experts have done the leg work for you. We found the maximum win was £50,000. Not bad, and we wouldn’t complain too much if we won that, but there are some places out there where you can win up to £1 million. Sounds a lot better, right?
The minimum bet is £1 for most markets. We feel this is a little high, as there are some places such as bet365 that allow as little as £0.01. Even so you have to take into account that this is a local, independent bookie, so it is to be expected that they have to protect themselves in some way. It definitely isn’t a deal breaker for us.
BetSid Odds8
One thing that is very important to us when doing a review of a bookmaker is the odds levels they offer. This is because the higher the levels the bigger payout is for you. You can always tell a bookie that is purely interested in profit and doesn’t care about their hard-working customers, as they offer low odds in order to skim as much profit as they can. Luckily, BetSid odds are very high, particularly for football, so you will get a very tasty return when you place a wager. Just look at the table we have calculated for you below.
Odds Levels for the Largest Sports Markets
- .
- Basketball91.54 - 93.22%
- Tennis92.11 - 92.83%
- Cricket90.02 - 91.97%

You can clearly see that across all their sports they offer very competitive odds. This means no matter what your preference you will always find good value. They stand up very well in comparison to the other reviews we have done, and we were very impressed that an independent bookie can offer such a great deal. It just goes to show that value can be found at independents, and you don’t always have to go with the big boys!
The BetSid betting platform is a very powerful and easy to negotiate site. This is to be expected due to the fact it is powered through FBS technology. All the buttons and links are clearly displayed, you can get to where you want to go in minimal clicks. Furthermore, it is clearly designed with the user in mind, everything is easy to read, and I’m pretty sure even my Gran could operate this site.
We really couldn’t find a fault with how the platform was set out. We even like the colour scheme, but this is, of course, a personal preference, but even so, we would be surprised if someone was that put off by it. Top marks to the developers here!
How to Place a Bet
This BetSid review was designed to help you. That’s why we have decided to create a helpful guide on how to place a bet at the site. Maybe some of you are already familiar with using betting sites, or even this one, even so for those that need a little help we are here for you. We wouldn’t say it was a difficult process in the slightest, but we have created a step-by-step process so you can’t go wrong when you place a wager here.
- [1] Bet Selection To make a selection, first click the sport you are interested in, then the event. With that choose your bet you would like.
- [2] Enter Your StakeOnce your bet is on the betslip, you can then choose the amount you wish to stake on the bet, entering it into the blue box.
- [3] Confirm Your Selection(s)To confirm you bet, simply click on the white “place bet” button in order to approve your wager.
Firstly, you need to make a selection on what you want to bet on. To do that, simply navigate on the left-hand side to the sport you wish to bet on. Once you have chosen the sport, click on the event you like. There will be a list of different bet types, click the desired one. Now it is added to your betslip on the right-hand side, you can enter your stake amount in the blue box. You have to do this manually. Then, to confirm your selection, click on the white “place bet” box. Voila, it’s as easy as that, you’ve placed your bet! Good luck!
Company Info and Details
In this section, we will get down into the real nitty-gritty. It might not be as lavish or stimulating as analysing the platform, but who and what’s behind the website is also very important to investigate. We need to know they are trustworthy and that you can use them in the utmost confidence.
The BetSid Business
What we really like about this operator is that they are locally and independently run. They have eight physical shops around the Blackpool and Preston are and are only now venturing into the online world. Despite having massive competition against the big boys, they have continuously grown. Importantly, they are also fully licensed by the UK gambling commission.

Furthering their commitment to the local area they are also sponsors of Blackpool F.C. and A.F.C. Fylde. Although they may not be the biggest teams in the world, it really does confirm their affinity to West Lancashire. It’s hard not to fall in love with an independent bookie that truly values its relationships with its punters. They really do show quality can be found in smaller markets.
Customer Support 6
With this in mind, you would expect them to provide world-class customer service and support. However, this seems not to be the case. On their website they don’t have live chat, nor do they have a number to call. They do have an email address and also a contact form but that is the lengths they go to. Although they did respond very quickly to our enquiries, it is disappointing that they don’t have a variety of customer support systems in place.
We expect them to expand on this in the future, as a live chat feature is pretty much standard for most operators these days, and they don’t want to be left behind for such a minor detail that in all honesty could be implemented fairly easily.
Licensing and Security7
As you would expect, BetSid are fully regulated and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. We wouldn’t have it any other way, as if they aren’t, they won’t appear our site. This type of licensing is of utmost importance for someone to operate in the UK, and it can’t be underestimated. It is one of the key markers as to whether you can trust an operator or not.
The website also employs SSL security features, to encrypt all data that is sent. Furthermore, they are affiliated with many reputable organisations, such as IBAS, GAMSTOP, Gamble Aware, and GamCare. They clearly value the user’s safety, and these partnerships represent that.
Bonus Points Section4
Now we come to the pinnacle of our BetSid review, the bonus points section. This is where the operator has the chance to really shine bright like a diamond. We have a set number of categories they can score in. To make a grand total of ten massive extra points. Pretty juicy, don’t you think?
So how did they fare? Check out the scores we gave them below. Unfortunately, they didn’t score highly in live streams, as they don’t offer any, but everywhere else they did fairly well.
- Live Streams.0/3
- Sponsorship.2/3
- Awards.1/2
- Extra Markets.0/1
- Bonuses.1/1
- Bonus Points.4
We really like their sponsorship direction, however we only awarded 2/3 as at the end of the day, Blackpool and Fylde aren’t Manchester United and Liverpool, are they? Even so, we do admire the local connection and feel it is very inspiring. Overall, they got a decent score from our bonus section, something that can’t be scoffed at.
BetSid: A Fantastic Local Bookie
Overall, we have been very impressed with BetSid. We admire them as a local independent operator and fully support them in their endeavours. It is clear they cater to local Brits and know what markets to offer. We were very happy that they had very good coverage of both the greyhounds and the horses, making them one of the more popular horse racing betting sites. What’s more, they offer very competitive odds and a free bet as a welcome bonus. Our experts were very happy with the package on display.

Of course, nothing is perfect. A major drawback for some you will be the limited deposit methods, as currently no kind of eWallet is allowed to be used. Furthermore, the online customer service is pretty basic and needs to be revamped to catch up to modern times. This is likely the result of the fact they have their physical stores were this type of thing is usually done face to face. Even so, this can easily be rectified, and we feel the future is very bright with this top local operator.
