NetBet Welcome Bonus & Offers

Now we will have a look at all the bonuses on offer at the NetBet sportsbook. Of course, we begin with the NetBet welcome offer, before we move on to ongoing promotions you can take part in. You’ll be surprised by what is on offer, we were mightily impressed!

The Welcome Bonus Explained

The NetBet welcome bonus is pretty good and is available to all first-time customers. To qualify, you must make a first-time bet of £5 on any bet builder to receive a £10 free bet. You will have 30 days from registration to place your qualifying bet. The bet must include a minimum of 3 selections at minimum odds of 3/1 (4.00) to qualify for the bonus.

Once your first bet is settled, you will receive the £10 free bet within 24 hours. The free bet is available for 7 days and can be used on accas on any sport.

How to Get the Welcome Bonus

Claiming the NetBet sign-up offer is so easy that you will have no problem getting it. Even so, our team of hard-working experts have decided to go through the process with you. We have created a simple guide for you to use below. These steps cover the essential parts of the process you should follow to get the bonus.

Other NetBet Promotions

NetBet features several regular promotions. One such ongoing promo is a £5 free bet when you bet £10 on a 4 fold on English football. You can claim the offer once per week. NetBet also offers the Acca Boost feature, boosting acca bets with minimum odds of 1.30 or more up to 50%.

You can win a £500 jackpot if you predict the correct scores in a single round of 4 games. There’s also a £1000 jackpot up for grabs for predicting all 5 goalscorers. In addition to its regular offers, NetBet offers promotions for sporting events, such as the Super Bowl.

An Introduction to NetBet

NetBet has an impressive array of sports, virtual sports and extra markets to bet on. The betting options complimenting the sports options also show great depth and have clearly been well thought out. While the overall number is smaller than the biggest and best sports betting sites, all the popular options are present and correct.

Pros and Cons of NetBet

Below, we have listed the strengths and weaknesses of NetBet. Our objective overview will help you get a better idea of how the operator performs and help you determine whether it is a good fit for your needs.

Pros

  • Great range of sports betting markets
  • Regular promotions and attractive odds
  • Many payment methods available

Cons

  • The live betting platform is a little cluttered
  • Live streaming is unavailable
  • Luke Andrews.
Luke Andrews – My Impression of NetBet

NetBet stands out thanks to its extensive selection of betting markets, competitive odds, and promotions. I was especially impressed by the many payment options and high-quality customer support. The lack of live streaming is the only significant drawback. All in all, NetBet provides a well-polished service that will suit most bettors.

Sports Markets and Betting Types

Alongside the most popular UK sports markets, such as football betting, tennis and horse racing, there are plenty of extra options, such as e-sports. The depth of the coverage of each market is impressive.

While you won’t find all the international or lower leagues – especially in-play – that some other operators offer, the coverage is more than adequate. There are still options to bet on leagues as diverse as the Azerbaijan first division though, so you know the coverage is strong.

In terms of betting options, for the bigger events in each sport, the bet types can be organised via category. With football, for example, there are main markets, goals, half time/full time, corners, specials, cards and minute markets. The average number of bets for a Premier League game is around 100, which puts NetBet up there in regards to the competition. If you’re looking for boxing odds, NetBet usually cover most of the biggest fights.

In-play is where things start to get a little messy in our opinion, compared to the best sites for horse racing betting. The problem here is not especially with the betting options, as there are plenty and in-play betting at NetBet works smoothly. However, the layout of live betting is messy and can make things confusing if you want to switch between sports.

In-play Betting & Live Streaming

As I briefly mentioned above, the in-play betting experience has benefitted from a sliding scale being added to the cash-out function, meaning punters can now partially cash out their bets, which is a great feature for cash out betting sites. Just the same as in the pre-match betting area, there are a whole host of betting options on offer in the in-play section.

At times you’ll find as many as 200 fixtures available for live betting every day. Each fixture offers a good number of bets, however for all the most high-profile fixtures, you’ll find some of the more exciting, obscure markets.

Punters have the option to choose from around 15 different sports markets, which include all the common favourites such as football, tennis and cricket, and also a few more less widely-followed sports such as bowls and table tennis.

Unfortunately, the NetBet betting site does not offer live streams as part of its service. We’ve been given the inside tip that this is something the company is looking to add in due course.

NetBet Betting App

Despite the fact that the NetBet mobile app looks slightly different from the desktop site, they operate in very much the same way. With regard to the betting products, the app has managed to retain near enough all the same features of the full desktop version, meaning that you won’t experience too many surprises when you switch over to the mobile version.

The sports markets on the left-hand side of the page are replaced by smaller, more aesthetically pleasing icons that are a little easier on the eye, and the live betting highlights, as well as the upcoming virtual sports fixtures, are all displayed in the middle of the screen.

Much the same as on desktop, your bet slip is neatly displayed on the right side of the screen. However to access the other NetBet gambling products, such as the casino and the live casino, simply click on the main toolbar at the top left-hand corner of the screen. The options will appear in the drop-down menu. The live betting platform retains the same slick, metallic black and red colour scheme as the desktop site and operates in the same way.

Multiples Betting Options

There are of course loads of multiple bet types available to accommodate the wide array of markets. NetBet has been clever in this area, giving you the choice to switch between combination and single sections in the bet slip.

For combination accumulators, the bookie allows up to 20 selections to be added, which is a high amount. The maximum number of individual selections to be contained in system bets is also 20. System betting goes all the way up to 13 individual selections with the super-Heinz system bet. Of course, all the system bets for fewer selections are available too, right down to patent and Trixie bets.

The bet slip is easy to use thanks to the different sections and looks great. Bet stakes can either be entered into the box or if you are betting a common amount, can be selected by using the drop-down menu box. Returns for all selections are always shown, for both singles and multiples.

Bet & Win Limits

The minimum bet stakes at NetBet are currently 7p for a single pre-match bet. The operator states this may differ for some in-play bets. This is a nice low number, showing that the betting site is appealing to all punters, whatever their level.

Odds levels9

The table below gives you an overview of the range of odds you can find at the bookmaker for some of the most popular UK sports markets. As you can see, NetBet offers competitive odds for most sports. Football fans are especially well catered for, with a bookmaker’s margin of up to 95%. Across the board, though the odds are strong here. Major sports markets like cricket, tennis and horse racing all have good odds in general, so you should consider NetBet if you like betting on these sports.

Odds Levels for the Largest Sports Markets
  • .
  • Football91.0 - 95.0%
  • Cricket90.1 - 95.2%
  • Boxing89.8 - 93.6%
  • Tennis91.7 - 94.5%
  • Snooker88.0 - 93.2%
  • Cycling88.5 - 92.4%
  • Darts91.3 - 93.1%
  • Horse Racing82.5 - 92.1%
  • Greyhounds72.3 - 84.5%
  • ..
  • .....
  • Return to Player (%)

The data for the table above was taken from many pre-match fixtures for each sport, with the range between the highest and lowest result listed. Being able to determine how good the odds are, is a good skill to have and you can learn how to calculate a bookmaker’s margin here.

While we have mostly used this data to award the score for the odds level, we also checked out the in-play prices offered by the bookie, which were good on the whole. While live betting obviously offers lower prices than many pre-match markets, NetBet’s in-play odds were always strong.

Accepted Payment Methods at NetBet

Overall, Netbet has a more than satisfactory selection of payment options available. Customers can choose between Visa and Mastercard debit card payments and also a good selection of e-Wallets and prepaid cards. You can also deposit using the slightly less common Boku mobile payment service. For all those that prefer slightly more traditional payment methods, there’s the option to make deposits via direct bank transfer.

Payment Methods Withdrawal Limits Deposit Limits Withdrawal Time Deposit Time Fees
Debit Card Unlimited £10 – £35,000 4 – 8 days Instant Free
PayPal Unlimited £10 – £5000 1 – 4 days Instant Free
paysafecard Not Available £10 – £250 Not Available Instant Free
Wire Transfer Unlimited No Limit 4 – 12 days Instant Free
Boku Not Available £10 – £40 Not Available Instant Free
Trustly Unlimited £10 – £10,000 2 – 4 days Instant Free
Payz Unlimited £10 – £10,000 2 – 4 days Instant Free
Bank Transfer Not Available No Limit Not Available 1-14 days Free

*Limits may apply from the payment processor themselves.

With a minimum deposit set at an accessible £10 and deposits credited to accounts almost instantly, the process is swift and efficient. Withdrawals via debit cards, however, take between 4-8 business days, a bit slower than many might expect.

This delay serves as encouragement to opt for newer payment options such as Payz and PayPal, with these e-wallets being the go-to for the quickest withdrawals. For those prioritising speed, turning to fast withdrawal betting sites might be the preferred choice, ensuring faster access to funds.

In keeping with UK gambling regulations, there’s no limit on the amount you can withdraw at one time. That means if you ever do manage to score a good retrun on your bets, you’ll have no problem cashing out all your winnings in one go.

How is the Online Platform? 7

It’s true that liking a betting site’s online platform is a subjective matter and we will all have our favourite platform, based on personal opinions. But, we’ve tried to take a few factors into consideration to give an objective rating of the platform at NetBet.

The homepage is full of infoboxes, links to promotions and other assorted areas. While it’s bright, in your face and there’s a lot to take in. The smart layout means the page doesn’t appear too cramped and messy. As such, it makes it easier to get around, since the homepage features a link to just about every area you could wish.

Along with the standard sports market links, in-play betting and promotions tabs, there’s lots more. NetBet packs in the features; the extras section alone features statistics, results, and a betting rules section. There are also quick links to the mobile, cash out, and the bookie’s blog in the banner along the centre of the screen.

So far so good then, but the problems start with the in-play arena, as I briefly mentioned earlier. Unfortunately, live betting here is a somewhat chaotic experience due to the design and layout of the in-play page. It’s difficult to discern which bets are for which sport, while the fixture flashing to show something has occurred in that match is a good idea, but is somewhat off-putting in practice.

This is a shame as NetBet nails almost all other aspects of the online bookmaker. The extra features are done as well as anyone else, while the green and black colour scheme is really cool. Functions like the bet slip and odds updating in-play are flawless, while the site, in general, is easy to navigate.

How to Place a Bet

As it should be with any online betting site, placing a bet here is a simple three-step process, once you’ve navigated to the relevant league, event or tournament of the sport you want to bet on. Odds for result betting are shown next to each fixture, but if your desired bet is something else, then you can click on the fixture, after which the list of available bets will be shown.

To add a bet to the bet slip, simply click the odds of that bet. The bet slip is ever-present on the right-hand side of the screen and you can see the selection added automatically. After this, it’s time to choose your stake. Select a number from the drop-down box, or enter your stake. Once you’re sure everything is correct, simply click the green bet now button.

  • [1] Make Your Selection(s)Making selections at NetBet.Simply click on the odds of your selection(s) to add it to the bet slip.
  • [2] Enter in the StakeEntering the stake in the bet slip. The selection(s) will appear in the bet slip, where you can use the dropbox to choose your stake.
  • [3] Confirm your Selection(s)Confirming the bet with NetBet.Simply click the place bets box to confirm your stake and the bet.

The bet slip works well and you can quickly access your live bets in it. So, if you’re wanting to cash out a bit early, you can do that here, or head to the dedicated cash-out area. One thing I particularly like about the bet slip is that it has separate areas for single and multiple betting, which makes it easier to see the different multiples options and the potential returns they will offer.

What Else is There to Know?

That covers most of the basics, but the best bookies have other areas covered, which is why they’re the best. You should also consider areas like customer service and security when choosing which gambling websites to use. Below we’ll cover these areas, along with some general info about the company behind NetBet.

All About the Business

NetBet was founded in 2001 and is a sports betting specialist, although it also offers many other gambling services, like casino, poker and lotto games. NetBet is licensed by the Gambling Commission for the UK, but it also possesses a European licence for players on the continent, while its headquarters are in Malta.

Great Customer Service 9

We’ve been impressed by the customer service at NetBet. To start, there’s just about every form of assistance you could ask for. There’s live chat, phone, email form, and fax. We utilised all these methods to judge the standard of the help service here and all our inquiries were answered swiftly and satisfactorily.

The only reason the bookmaker didn’t receive full marks in this area is since its live chat is not available 24/7, like some other operators. This is the most used form of customer service and provides an answer instantly, so tbeing unavailable round the clock means there will be some times you’re unable to get an answer as quickly as you would like. But otherwise, a great performance in this area.

Licensing & Security9

Like any modern online betting site, NetBet takes the security of its platform seriously as well as the safety of its customers’ data. To this end, the website employs Go Daddy 2 protection to secure and encrypt all traffic on the site.

The bookmaker also has several partners to ensure the fairness and transparency of its service. It is a member of the International Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS), which can help recover punters’ money if there are any discrepancies between the result of a bet and the bookmaker’s actions.

NetBet also uses iTech Labs for its real money and casino games, which is a trusted name in the business. Like all providers operating in the UK today, NetBet possesses a licence from the UK Gambling Commission, a mandatory requirement if a bookmaker wants to operate or advertise in the UK. The headquarters of NetBet is in Malta.

To validate the identity of new members, the bookie employs a strict Know Your Customer (KYC) protocol to prevent money laundering and underage gambling. For the safety of its customers, NetBet partners with many problem gambling assistance companies. These include, GamCare, Responsible Gambling, GambleAware and ADiCTEL.

Bonus Points7

It’s so far so good for the bookmaker regarding its performance in the test categories. To mix things up a bit and show what the bookmaker can do, we’ve created a bonus points round, to offer potential points to operators who perform strongly in less common areas.

  • Live Streams.0/3
  • Sponsorship.3/3
  • Awards.2/2
  • Extra Markets.1/1
  • Bonuses.1/1
  • Bonus Points.7

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to live stream here, so no points are awarded in this area. When it comes to sponsorship though, NetBet has it covered. The bookie is the sponsor of three different football clubs, in the form of Hamilton Academical, Saint Etienne Steaua Bucharest.

NetBet has also earned industry recognition for its sportsbook. In 2016, NetBet was crowned the best overall sports betting operator at the CEEGA awards. NetBet also proved innovative in the industry, as it was the first UK bookmaker to accept Bitcoin.

For extra markets, the operator comfortably scoops up maximum points, offering virtual and e-sports, as well as a specials section offering politics and entertainment betting. Bonuses too are another strong point. Alongside the great free bet offers, there’s a great revolving promotions range, alongside the golden goal competition the bookmaker consistently runs.

Conclusion – A Solid Choice

Hopefully, this review has left a positive impression of NetBet, as we think it is a fantastic operator that is sometimes overlooked. There are loads of markets, bet types, promotions and many other things to attract punters to the platform, while the great odds and tons of extra features should ensure that users remain loyal.

We haven’t even mentioned the huge range of deposit methods available with the bookie, which means that you’ll always find the perfect way to deposit. The icing on the cake is great customer service, ensuring you’ll always have your problems solved quickly, should you come across any issues at all. No live streams is a weak point, so head to Coral if this is what you’re after.
