Online Sports Betting Company MansionBet Sign Bristol City Deal
Online sports betting operator MansionBet have agreed on terms for a sponsorship deal with Bristol City. The EFL Championship club will display the MansionBet logo on their home and away kits.
MansionBet has become the latest of the best betting sites to sponsor a football club with their announcement of a deal with Championship side Bristol City. They become the Robin’s main shirt sponsor and as part of the deal also become the club’s official betting partner.
The MansionBet branding will appear on Bristol’s matchday shirts and adult replica kits but will not be present on children’s shirts due to the companies commitment to responsible gambling. As part of the deal, the operator has pledged to hold activities that will engage Bristol City fans, with giveaways, including what MansionBet describes as “money can’t buy” prizes. MansionBet was launched in 2018 under the umbrella of the Mansion Group and has a history of partnering with football clubs. Previous clubs they have sponsored are Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth. They are also betting partners with Premier League clubs Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Announcing the deal on the club’s website, Bristol City state, they are “excited” with the partnership. Head of Commercial, Caroline Herbert commented: “We are delighted to be in partnership with MansionBet and to welcome them to our Bristol City fan base and Bristol Sport group. With more than a decade of industry experience and a long tradition of sport sponsorship, they bring a huge amount of expertise and creativity to this partnership. MansionBet also takes an incredibly responsible approach to gambling and have won several awards including Best Customer Service Company of the Year (2020) at the International Gaming Awards and Most Responsible Online Gambling Operator (2018).”
Head of Integrated Marketing at Mansion, Dana Bocker said: “Sponsorship of a Championship team shows our continued focus and support of the UK market.” Bocker added:
Bristol City’s proud history within the English league and their growth over the last couple of years makes this an appealing partnership. We’re looking forward to collaborating with the club to engage with fans over the coming season and increasing our awareness locally.– Dana Bocker, Mansion’s Head of Marketing
Bristol City returns to football action on Saturday, September 5th when they face Exeter City in the Carabao Cup. Their league campaign starts a week later; they travel to Coventry City in the Sky Bet Championship game. The Robin’s finished in 12th place in the Championship last year; however, for much of the season, they were realistic challengers for a playoff spot.
Although spectators will not be able to see the players wearing the new shirts in person, Bristol City fans will still be able to see their players wearing the new kit due to games being broadcast on the iFollow platform. As a temporary measure that has only been put in place whilst Clubs operate at a zero or reduced capacity as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans can pay £10 to stream the match at home.
